Meet the Dearborn Animal Clinic Team

Dr. Guglielmino:

Dr. Guglielmino was born in Ithaca, New York where his father was completing his degree in veterinary medicine at Cornell. He was raised in Winsted, Connecticut, a town of 8000 people in northwestern Connecticut. Dr. Guglielmino earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Connecticut and worked for several years for the State Health Department in Hartford, Connecticut before coming to Kansas to attend Kansas State University. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1971 and immediately moved to metropolitan Kansas City. Shortly after that move, in December of 1971, he founded his practice in Mission, Kansas. Dearborn Animal Clinic, which was originally just south of Johnson Drive on Dearborn Street in Mission, was moved to Johnson Drive in 1991. Dr. Guglielmino’s special interests in veterinary medicine are preventive medicine and surgery.

Dr. Alvested:

Dr. Kathi Alvested was born and raised in the Kansas City metropolitan area. She graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri—Columbia in 1998 and has been an associate veterinarian at Dearborn Animal Clinic since April of 2000. Kathi has a special interest in feline preventative care and geriatric Medicine.

Dr. Alvested really enjoys offering the personal touch in caring for pets. Kathi is the proud owner of several cats herself and knows first hand all the trouble a feline can find. From pediatric to geriatric care, Dr. Alvested is prepared and willing to assist you in ensuring your pet is in optimal health . The goal of Dearborn Animal Clinic is assist and educate clients in how to keep pets healthy so little issues don’t become big problems.

Kelly Parten:

Kelly Parten was born and raised in Havre, Montana. She has alway had a intrest in animal welfare.  Kelly came to work at Dearborn Animal Clinic as a receptionist in 2001.  Soon after she began to expand her duties to learning technical skills and over time found her place as the Clinic Manager.  Kelly espically enjoys interacting with pets and their owners, and has taken a special intrest in working with small, reputable rescue groups.
